During your winter holiday at the Hotel Alcialc in La Valle, the ski slopes of Alta Badia and the Sellaronda are easily and conveniently accessible. Four free ski buses are available daily. For even greater flexibility, you can also use the hotel’s own ski shuttle service on request for a small fee.

Situated above the Alta Badia ski area, La Valle is a peaceful alternative location to the hustle and bustle of the slopes. Alta Badia is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, offering direct access to one of the largest ski areas in the Alps with around 1,200 kilometres of slopes of varying difficulty. The slopes are renowned for their excellent snow conditions, sunny location, and varied scenery.

La Valle is home to a cross-country skiing centre with a 7 km trail. The entire Alta Badia also offers numerous other cross-country skiing opportunities, with trails of varying difficulty levels. Wind your way through peaceful winter landscapes on trails suitable for both leisurely skiers and those with more ambitious sporting goals.

The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities to take a walk through snow-covered landscapes. The Fanes-Senes-Braies and the Puez-Odle Nature Park are both part of the UNESCO Dolomites and are well worth a visit. Those seeking the tranquillity close by will find the Armentara meadows at the foot of the Sas dla Crusc particularly impressive. Snowshoes are available at the hotel.

La Valle is the perfect place to enjoy winter leisure activities away from the ski slopes. The approximately 10km-long-toboggan run starting from the Sas dla Crusc pilgrimage church is particularly popular, providing lots of fun. The range of activities on offer is complemented by ice skating opportunities in the surrounding area. The frozen Lake Sompunt, near La Valle, is the perfect spot for ice skating or curling.
